NIEC Headquarters will be located within the National Institute of Education campus at Nanyang Walk.

We will have a ‘One NIEC, Four Campuses’ model. Our early childhood courses will continue to be offered at the four existing campuses, namely at ITE College Central (2 Ang Mo Kio Drive), NP (535 Clementi Road), TP (21 Tampines Ave 1) and SEED Institute (73 Bras Basah Road).

Students who take up full-time early childhood courses at ITE, NP and TP upon completing their secondary education will have a dual identity. They will be NIEC students as well as students of the institution they are enrolled in. Other than early childhood modules, they will take general, non-early childhood modules together with their peers in the institution. They can also join clubs, societies and other activities on campus and enjoy an active campus life.

All NIEC students, including post-secondary students, mid-careerists and EC professionals, can look forward to the following:

Unified training: There will be unified foundational training across different campuses, enabling consistency in preparing trainees to take on the work of EC professionals.

Field-based learning: Practicum attachments / internships at pre-school centres will provide authentic learning within the unique context of the early childhood work culture.

A sense of fraternity:There will be opportunities to network with early childhood education students in other campuses and early childhood experts.

In addition, post-secondary students can look forward to:

Cross-campus learning: Students can sign up for electives in niche areas that are available in other campuses and take part in EC master classes.

A global perspective: Opportunities for overseas study trips and exchange programmes will allow students to develop a global perspective of early childhood education.

NIEC will offer a full range of certificate, diploma, post-diploma and continuing professional development courses on early childhood care and education. We cater to early childhood educators at different stages of their careers who are working with children of different age groups. Graduates from our certificate/diploma courses will be awarded NIEC qualifications that are recognised by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
